ILoveHolland app for iPhone and iPad

“I Love Holland” is the first in a series of apps developed to help you memorize topography with ease and in a fun way. Instead of old-fashioned blind maps it uses satellite maps to teach you the cities and waters of the Netherlands. New media is increasingly utilizing these means for all kinds of purposes, simply because the possibilities are so diverse.You can zoom in to street level, or zoom out to see the Netherlands as a whole, putting it in perspective with its adjacent countries and the rest of Europe, or even with the rest of the world. Recognizing these images is fun, but being able to link them to the gathered knowledge of the Dutch ‘provinces’ makes them useful too.
There are four incremental levels.This app is also suitable for people not living in the Netherlands but are interested in Holland and want to learn more about it. For instance, this app can teach you elementary knowledge about our ‘provinces’ their respective flags and coats of arms. Its an educational game: Learn while you play.As an additional feature you can listen to the Dutch national anthem with lyrics on display.
